Bagdogra is a settlement in Naxalbari CD block within Siliguri subdivision of Darjeeling district, West Bengal, India. It is part of the Greater Siliguri Metropolitan Area and is well-connected by air through Bagdogra Airport (IATA: IXB), which serves as a gateway to hill stations like Darjeeling, Kurseong, Mirik, Kalimpong, and Sikkim. The airport offers flights to major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Guwahati, Paro, and Bangkok, along with helicopter services to Gangtok.

Bagdogra is also connected by rail via Bagdogra Railway Station (code BORA) under the Northeast Frontier Railway zone. Road connectivity includes National Highways NH 31 and NH 31C, as well as Asian Highway AH2, making it a gateway to North-East India.

Geographically, Bagdogra lies at 26.42°N 88.19°E, approximately 11 km from Siliguri. The area is part of the Dooars region, bordered by the Mechi River on the west (towards Nepal) and the Mahananda River on the east (towards Bangladesh). It falls within the Siliguri subdivision, known for its plains sloping gently from north to south.

The Bagdogra police station oversees parts of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Educationally, Kalipada Ghosh Tarai Mahavidyalaya at Bagdogra offers courses affiliated with the University of North Bengal, while nearby schools include Air Force School and others.

Bagdogra's strategic transport links and geographical location make it a significant hub in northern West Bengal.
