The 2024 United Kingdom general election in Wales took place on Thursday, 4 July 2024, following a boundary review that reduced the number of Welsh MPs from 40 to 32. The Labour Party retained its position as the largest party in Wales, securing 27 out of 32 seats, including gains in constituencies such as Bangor Aberconwy, Clwyd East, Clwyd North, Monmouthshire, Wrexham, and Montgomeryshire. Plaid Cymru won four seats, maintaining their previous tally but gaining two additional seats due to boundary changes. The Liberal Democrats secured one seat, Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe, marking their return to the Welsh议会 after a hiatus since 2017.

The Conservative Party suffered a significant defeat, losing all 13 seats they had held in Wales, resulting in no Conservative MPs representing Wales for the first time since 2005. Plaid Cymru achieved its best-ever vote share of 14.8% in the UK general election, while Reform UK emerged as the third-largest party by votes with 16.9%, higher than the Conservatives' 18.2%. The Greens were runners-up in one constituency, Cardiff South and Penarth.

The election saw Labour reversing Conservative gains made in 2019 and securing Montgomeryshire and Glyndŵr, areas that had never elected a Labour MP prior to 2024.
