Corey Cowick
Corey Cowick is a former professional ice hockey forward from Canada, primarily known for his time in the AHL. Drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (6th round, 160th overall), he played junior hockey with the Oshawa Generals and later became a star on the Ottawa 67's under coach Brian Kilrea.
In August 2010, Cowick signed an entry-level contract with the Senators. He won the Calder Cup in the 2010-11 season while playing for their AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. After a single season with the Springfield Falcons, he joined the Florida Everblades of the ECHL in August 2015.
In July 2016, Cowick signed with Braehead Clan in Scotland's EIHL following his release from the Everblades. He then moved to Gamyo d'Épinal in France's Ligue Magnus in May 2017 alongside Matt Carter and Alex Nikiforuk. After being released by Gamyo, Cowick retired due to a second shoulder reconstruction.
Post-retirement, he works as a guidance counsellor and coach at the Canadian International Hockey Academy while preparing for a firefighting career.
