Syaukat Banjaransari (1936–2023) was an Indonesian army general and artist. Born in Kutoarjo, he spent much of his childhood in Yogyakarta, where he met future President Suharto. After attending several schools, he joined the National Military Academy, graduating in 1960 as an air defense artillery officer.

Throughout his military career, Syaukat held various posts, including commander of the 9th Air Defense Battalion and assistant for research and development at the air defense command. He served as a military attache in India from around 1979 to 1982. Returning to Indonesia, he was appointed head of the presidential security bureau by Air Vice Marshal Kardono, who was impressed with his embassy preparation skills during Suharto's visit.

Syaukat became the Military Secretary to the President from 1986 to 1992 and later served as Inspector General for Development until 1996. Despite his military role, he listed his occupation as a painter on his namecard. After leaving this position, he worked with Indonesia's scouting movement and chaired the Trikora Foundation.

Syaukat was an accomplished artist since high school, joining the prominent Indonesia Lima painters group. He designed various government and military items, including logos and trophies. Additionally, he contributed to filmmaking, becoming chairman of the Usmar Ismail Central Film Foundation after his retirement.

He passed away at 86 on July 2, 2023.
