Luscombe Queensland
Luscombe is a rural locality in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, with a population of 265 people as reported in the 2021 census. The area's geography includes the Albert River as its eastern boundary and several large quarries in the north and east. Davis Hill, reaching 298 meters, is located on the border with Ormeau Hills and features a radio mast at its summit. The Beaudesert–Beenleigh Road passes through the south-west corner of Luscombe.
Historically, the Darlington Park Raceway, a 1.3-kilometre go-kart track, operated near Peachey Road until it was closed in February 2007 due to noise complaints. This site is now part of the Darlington Park Industrial Estate. Demographically, Luscombe's population decreased from 448 in 2011 to 307 in 2016, and further to 265 in 2021.
The locality has no schools; nearby primary schools include Cedar Creek State School, Windaroo State School, Ormeau State School, and Norfolk Village State School. Secondary schools such as Windaroo Valley State High School and Ormeau Woods State High School are also nearby. Luscombe boasts several parks, including Halls Road East Parklands, Halls Road Reserve, Halls Road South Reserve, and Luscombe Reserve East.
