Barry Goldin
Barry Goldin is a BriSCA Formula 2 Stock Cars driver born on July 24, 1978, in Bolton, Greater Manchester. He races under number 401 and has won the National Points Championship three times. In 2012, he married Jo Polley, but they announced their separation in 2014.
Goldin began racing at age 12 in Ministox in 1991, winning regional championships in 1993 and 1994 and the National Points Championship in 1993. He transitioned to Formula 2 stock cars in 1995, earning his first championship success with the English Championship in 1999. After Rob Speak's retirement, Goldin became a top driver, winning three consecutive National Points Championships from 2000 to 2002.
In 2003, he won the World Championship at Taunton. Despite a slump in form, he regained success in 2011, securing the British and European Championships. In 2013, he achieved 100 career meeting finals and another European title. In 2014, he won the UK Championship at Skegness and the World of Shale title at Coventry. However, while leading the World Championship at Cowdenbeath, a crash due to an oil slick caused by another car left him concussed.
Goldin's honors include multiple championships: three National Points Championships, two European titles, and others in various categories.
