Carrera y Carrera is a Spanish jewelry company founded by Saturio Esteban Carrera in Madrid in 1885. The brand was established by his great-grandsons, Manuel and Juan José Carrera, in the 1970s, following a lineage of jewelers including his son and nephews who carried on the family tradition. Over time, the company has had several owners. It operates subsidiaries in New York City, Tokyo, Moscow, and the UAE. The brand gained international recognition after creating Queen Fabiola's wedding tiara in 1960 for her marriage to King Baudouin of Belgium. Carrera y Carrera expanded globally, opening its first store in the United States in 1979, followed by Russia in 1994 and China in 2013.
