Zou Jie

Zou Jie (born January 17, 1981, in Dalian) is a former Chinese football player who began his professional career with Dalian Shide in the 2000 league season. He rose to prominence in the 2001 season, playing 20 games and scoring 8 goals, which contributed to Dalian's title win and earned him the CFA Young Player of the Year award. Over the years, he became a key player for Dalian Shide, winning multiple Chinese Jia-A League/Super League titles and Chinese FA Cups in 2001 and 2005. The 2005 season was particularly successful for him, as he scored 15 goals in 23 appearances.

In the 2008 season, Dalian Shide faced relegation struggles, leading to a change in management. Under new coach Xu Hong, Zou Jie was deemed surplus and loaned out to second-tier club Shenyang Dongjin in 2009. He returned to professional football in March 2017 with Hainan Boying.

Internationally, Zou Jie made his debut for the Chinese national team on June 19, 2005, in a friendly against Costa Rica. He played in two Asian Cup qualifiers in 2006 but did not earn further squad recalls due to underwhelming performances.

Zou Jie's career with Dalian Shide included several league titles and FA Cup victories, alongside individual recognition as the CFA Young Player of the Year in 2001.
