Veronica Hults

Veronica "Nica" Hults, born on June 16, 1998, in Honolulu, Hawaii, is a former American artistic gymnast who competed as a national team member. She was raised by her parents, Emer and Scott Hults, and has two younger siblings: John and Sofia. Currently living in Coppell, Texas, Nica attended Laurel Springs School online and graduated in 2016. She planned to compete for the UCLA gymnastics team after high school. Nica's gymnastics career began at Level 9 in 2010, where she won state and national floor championships while training under Artur Akopyan at All Olympia Gymnastics Center. After moving to Texas, she trained at Texas Dreams Gymnastics. In 2011, she competed at the WOGA Classic Elite Qualifier, winning the balance beam title, and qualified for Junior International Elite status by finishing fifth at the Disney Elite Qualifier. She also placed 13th at the U.S. Classic and competed at the National Championships. In 2012, Nica placed eighth at the Secret U.S. Classic, qualifying again for the National Championships, where she finished ninth. In 2013, she won gold medals on uneven bars and balance beam at the Secret U.S. Classic, securing a sixth-place finish at Nationals and earning her spot on the U.S. Junior National Team. She made her international debut at the 2013 Mexico Open, winning gold with her team. In 2014, Nica competed as a senior at the Secret U.S. Classic, placing sixth on uneven bars.
