Ruth Yeoh

Ruth Yeoh Pei Cheen is a Malaysian businesswoman, philanthropist, and environmentalist known for her work in sustainability and corporate social responsibility. She serves as the Executive Director of YTL Singapore and leads YTL Corporation's carbon credit and clean development mechanism consultancy. Yeoh co-authored *Cut Carbon, Grow Profits: Business Strategies for Managing Climate Change and Sustainability*, a book on climate change strategies. Born into a prominent family, Yeoh is the oldest child of Tan Sri Dato' Francis Yeoh and Puan Sri Rosaline Yeoh. Her grandfather, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Yeoh Tiong Lay, founded YTL Corporation. She has siblings Rebekah Yeoh and cousins Rachel Yeoh and Michelle Yeoh. Yeoh holds a degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Nottingham and a Management degree from Cass Business School. She began her career with YTL Corporation in 2005, where she spearheaded sustainability initiatives, including YTL's Climate Change Week. She has received numerous awards for her leadership in sustainability, such as the Global CSR Summit's Silver Award in CSR Leadership (2011), the Singapore Environmental Council's Environmental Achievement Award (2012), and the GreenTech Award (2014). In addition to her professional roles, Yeoh is a board member of several organizations, including Kew Foundation, Gardens by the Bay, United Women Singapore, Reef Check Malaysia, and Asia Society's Asia 21 Young Leaders Initiative.
