Pandiraj

Pandiraj is an Indian film director, producer, and writer known for his work in Tamil cinema. Born on June 7, 1976, in Virachilai Township, Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, he moved to Chennai in 1996 after completing his schooling. He initially worked as an office-boy with director K. Bhagyaraj and later became an assistant director for filmmakers like Cheran, Thangar Bachan, and Chimbu Deven.

Pandiraj is recognized for his style of village action family movies that emphasize farming and family values. His debut film, *Pasanga* (2009), featuring child actors and Vimal in his first lead role, was a critical and commercial success, winning three National Film Awards and international acclaim. He followed this with films like *Vamsam*, *Marina*, and *Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga*, which received positive reviews and box office success.

In 2012, Pandiraj established Pasanga Productions, under which he produced films such as *Moodar Koodam* and distributed others. He also wrote dialogues for Vijay Milton's film *Goli Soda*. His later works include *Pasanga 2*, *Idhu Namma Aalu*, *Kathakali*, and *Kadaikutty Singam*, which focused on family values and won him the Best Director award at the South Indian International Movie Awards.
