Kji Miyoshi

Koji Miyoshi, born on 26 March 1997 in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger. He currently represents VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga and the Japan national team.

Miyoshi began his career with Kawasaki Frontale before spending time on loan at Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo and Yokohama F. Marinos domestically. In 2019, he joined Royal Antwerp on loan from Kawasaki Frontale, eventually making the move permanent. He was part of the Antwerp team that won the Belgian Pro League in 2022–23.

In June 2023, Miyoshi moved to Birmingham City in England after his contract with Royal Antwerp expired. He made 29 appearances for Birmingham in the English Championship, scoring six goals and making six assists despite the club's relegation at the end of the season.

Miyoshi joined Bundesliga side VfL Bochum on 30 August 2024 under a four-year contract.

On the international stage, Miyoshi has represented Japan at various youth levels. He was part of the U-17 team during the 2013 World Cup and the U-20 team for the 2017 World Cup. He made his senior debut in June 2019 during a match against Chile.

Miyoshi's honours include the J1 League with Kawasaki Frontale in 2017, Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo in 2019, and the Belgian Pro League with Royal Antwerp in 2022–23. He also won the AFC U-19 Championship with Japan in 2016.
