Ice blasting cleaning
Ice blasting is a method of industrial cleaning that uses a continuous supply of compressed air to accelerate suspended ice particles to high speeds. Ice blasting uses significantly less water than pressure washing. Ice blasts are often used in areas where water is scarce. It is often used for removing hazardous substances, such as lead paint or asbestos. It has applications across multiple industries. In some applications, the use of ice blasting is particularly common in online material removal facilities. In other cases, using other media such as sand or plastic beads is preferred. This is because of the low entrapment rate. The most common media is ice, but other materials can work too. Ice can be removed from the surface of an object by hitting the surface with ice blast, a similar process as pressure washing, in order to get the desired consistency of a surface.
