Georgi Iliev footballer born 1981

Georgi Iliev is a Bulgarian former professional footballer. He played for Cherno More Varna, Lokomotiv Plovdiv and CSKA Sofia. Iliev holds the record for the highest number of appearances in the Bulgarian top league, with 461 – 318. He also gained 24 Bulgaria caps between 2004 and 2019. He signed with Chinese side Shijiazhuang Yongchang on 6 January 2014 on a two-year deal for a reported fee of €100,000. He finished 2014 season in the China One as the top scorer with 9 goals, helping his team to gain promotion to the Chinese Super League. In October 2018 he became the second highest scoring player in the history of the Bulgarian First Professional Football League, after Todor Marev. He is also the highest scoring Bulgarian footballer with 4th place on the all-time goalscoring list. He has also won the Bulgarian Supercup and the Bulgarian League Cup with his club. He won the Champions League with CSKA in 2008 and Bulgarian Cup in 2006. He was also part of the squad that won the European Champions League in 2010.
