Christy Haubegger

Christy Haubegger, born on August 15, 1968, in Houston, Texas, was adopted by an Anglo couple and raised in Bellaire, a wealthy suburb. Her parents encouraged her to learn Spanish and explore Mexican culture, leading her to attend bilingual schools. She graduated from St. John's School in 1986 and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989. Haubegger then attended Stanford Law School, where she was class president and part of the Stanford Law Review, earning her juris doctor degree in 1992. Frustrated by the lack of Hispanic role models in media, Haubegger founded Latina magazine in 1996. The magazine achieved significant success, reaching a circulation of 250,000 and receiving recognition from Adweek's "Hot List." Haubegger also serves on the board of Latina Media Ventures. She has received numerous accolades, including being named one of Advertising Age's "Women to Watch" and inducted into the American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement. Newsweek recognized her as a "Woman of the New Century" in 2001. Haubegger has been featured in major media outlets like the Today Show and CNN. In 2002, she worked on films such as "Chasing Papi" and "Spanglish." In 2005, she joined Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where she led initiatives to increase diversity, launching CAA Amplify and the Amplify Database. Haubegger joined WarnerMedia in 2019 as their Chief Enterprise Inclusion Officer and became Head of Marketing & Communications in 2020.
